DESCRIPTION

The bimetallic band saw cobalt M42 is made of M42 high-speed steel enriched with 8% cobalt and joined with an electron beam with a bearing band made of spring steel.

The cobalt blade M42 has tooth tips HSS-M42. The blade high wear resistance results from high hardness and even distribution of carbides on the tooth tips created in hardening and tempering processes.

The tooth tips martensitic structure and high cobalt content secure high hardness when heated up thanks to which the blade wears less even at a high speed. A chromium supporting strip serves for obtaining the blade higher resistance to bending, stresses and pressure that arise in modern saws.
